FORT WORTH -- Juanita Meeker Witt, 83, a nurse, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Church Assembly of God.
Burial: 2 p.m. Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Memorials: Christ Church Assembly of God, 5301 Alta Mesa Boulevard, Fort Worth 76133.
Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Craft and Clayton Witt.
Juanita Meeker Witt was born July 20, 1919, in Tolar. She was preceded in death by husband, Autry Alvin Witt, in 1969.
Mrs. Witt worked at various jobs; as a news reporter in Seagraves, as a riveter at Consolidated Aircraft in Fort Worth during World War II, and at Swift & Company after that. After raising four children, she pursued a career in nursing. Most of her activities, and all of her heart, have been given in Christian service.
Mrs. Witt's neverending faith in her friends and loved ones, and her unyielding faith in the Lord Jesus, has been an inspiration to all who knew her. She shared her love of the Lord with the world and was a true example of Christian life.
Survivors: Daughters, Beverly Shroyer of Anchorage, Alaska, Jane Taylor of Fort Worth, Colleen Southard of Kerrville; son, Al Witt of Fort Worth; brother Ted Meeker of Benton Ark.; grandchildren, Renee Stinnett, Bill Craft, April Jones, Clayton Witt, Randi Flowers, Molly Southard; and five great-grandchildren.
