Thomas lived in St. Francis County most of her life, was retired from General Industries and was a member of the Widener Baptist Church.
She was born April 11, 1924 in Wynne, the daughter of Walter Matlock and Agnes South.
She is survived by one daughter, Darlene of Palestine; one son, Jimmy Thomas of Forrest City; two sisters, Pauline Worley and Linda Boren, both of Forrest City; one brothers, J.W. Matlock of Wynne; one step-mother, two step-sisters; three step-brothers; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted by Stevens Funeral Home on Sept. 28 with Rev. J.D. Webb officiating. Interment was in Loughridge Cemetery.
