Larry Lee, 23,
Dies of Injuries;
Funeral Sunday
Funeral service for Larry Edwin Lee, 23, of 2702 Oakland Ave., who died here at 6:10 p.m. yesterday from injuries received Thursday in an automobile crash, will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Hanes-Linberry Funeral Home.
Rev. Robert McCluskey, pastor of First Pilgrim Holiness Church, and Rev. C. C. McMasters, pastor of Franklinville Pilgrim Holiness Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park. The body will remain at the funeral home until the service.
R. B. Davis, Guilford County coroner, ruled the victim died of brain injuries.
Still in critical condition this morning at Moses Cone Hospital was 18-year-old Alvis Paul Chrisman of 1005 Bellevue St., also an occupant of the automobile which wrecked about 11:40 p.m. Thursday on Randolph Avenue.
Police investigating the accident said the two youths were occupants of a northbound car on Randolph Avenue which went out of control near the intersection of Patton Street, ran off the road and crashed through a street sign and utility pole. Both occupants were thrown from the vehicle.
Lee was a native of Guilford County and was assistant manager of the Dog House, an eating establishment on South Elm Street. Prior to that, he had been associated with the Crystal Co. which operates a chain of lunch rooms. He attended First Pilgrim Holiness Church.
Survivors include the wife, the former Judith Stout; one son, Malcolm P. Lee; the mother, Mrs. Madge McMasters Lee Henderson; the stepfather, Henry A. Henderson of Greensboro; one brother Charles P. Lee of Greensboro; three step-brothers, Henry, Steven and Robert Henderson, all of Greensboro; one step-sister, Mrs. Ann Ganiere of Cleveland, Ohio.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Henderson at 714 Dillard St.
