GREENSBORO - Mrs. Rachel Adams Foley, 80, of Greensboro, departed from this life Thursday, July 3, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel, with Pastor Greg Bouck officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Born February 21, 1928, in Guilford County, to the late Joseph and Susie Adams, Mrs. Foley was of the Baptist faith and retired from Unifi Inc. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Foley was preceded in death by her husband, William Wallace Foley; a son, Tommy Foley; two sisters, Alma and Ola; and her three brothers, Lester, Russell, and Archie.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan F. Daniels and husband, Earl, Vanessa Arthur and husband, Ricky, and Lynn Pewett; sons, Paul Foley and wife, Elizabeth, Ralph Foley, Ray Foley, and Wallace Foley and wife, Barbara; sisters, Martha Lockerman and Emmzazett Overly; 43 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
