Christine Miller
Christine Miller, 77, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Gaither and Anna Bell Woodby Bennett and was born in Erwin, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Gene Miller and Charles Miller; six sisters and five brothers. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Miller, of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Bowman, Elizabethton; Penny Sue Berry and her husband, James, Elizabethton; two sons, Stewart Miller and his wife, Pat, MI; Roger Miller, MI; eight grandchildren, one step-grandson; fourteen great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and three sisters. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Miller will be conducted on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace, Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Charles Biggs and Rev. Carl Bowman officiating. Music will be under the direction of Greg and Tammy Ruston. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday prior to the service and at the home at other times.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Garland Cemetery in Unicoi County. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:45 am Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
