Jay Holdcraft, 67, 2730 Rosewood Ave., died Monday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital apparently the result of a heart attack.
Born in Jay County, he retired from K. J. Brown & Co., Inc. in 1973. He was a World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post 19, The camping Cardinals No. 42, and was a Legion and Fellowship member of Moose Lodge No. 33.
Survivors are his wife Avis, a sister Mrs. Reyburn Carey, Muncie; five brothers, Ralph, Lake Tahoe, Nev., Russell and Wayne, both of Dunkirk, and Ernest and Guy, both of Muncie; and several neices and nephews.
Services are pending at Parson Mortuary.
