Marion Ilene Vera 79, formerly of Aurora, passed away peacefully at her home in Chilton, WI on Saturday November 6, 2010. She was born on August 22, 1931 to Erwin A. and Hazel (Bremmer) Plote.
After the death of her father, at the age of 3, she was raised by her stepfather, Froloin Aguiniga, Sr. and her mother. Marion graduated from Elgin Larkin High School in Elgin, then proceeded to move to Aurora and married Francisco J. Vera. Together they raised four children, Mercedes L. Taylor, whose children are Mario and Bianca; Xavier V. Vera, whose children are Rob, Daniel and Michael; Antoinette Y. (Hector) Rodriguez, whose children are Ina, Lea and Anthony; Michael M. Vera, whose children are Ella and Mikayla. She worked for many years at Bill's Restaurant in Montgomery and for a few years as a Real Estate Agent. In the last few years she took up writing.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Vera; two infant daughters, Carla Jessica and Renee Francis; daughter, Mercedes; mother, Hazel; father, Erwin; step-father, Froloin, Sr.; brother, Fred; sister, Sonya Ceresa and grandmother, Mathilda Nelson. Survivors include her daughter, Antoinette (Hector) of WI; her sons, Xavier of Aurora and Michael of WI.; sisters, Louisa (Louis) Ermel, Gloria Slininger, Loretta Siete, Delores Nelson and Juanita (Glen) Bedoe; brothers, Verne Plote and Fred Aguiniga; many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mother, you always said "There was never enough time", but you always took time for us and others and had plenty of love for us all. Now is the time for you to see your "Rainbow" and enjoy your eternal life. Thank you for all the memories, wisdom and guidance. Love you always until we meet again.
Visitation will be held Friday 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. November 12, 2010 at The Healy Chapel 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora. Funeral service will take place Saturday 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
