Edna Louise - nicknamed John by her family, was the first twin to be born to William and Antonie. Helen came a few minutes later, and was the last of the Beyersdorf siblings.

The family lived on 12th Ave. in a large house and spoke German at home. After she turned 18, Edna moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she met and married Emil Brandt. They had one daughter, Harriet Ella, before divorcing. She later married Charles Mallonn and they enjoyed many years of Milwaukee Braves baseball and playing cards until Charlie died on Feb 8, 1970. They also doted on their two granddaughters, Lynn and Barbara. She also was an avid fisherman, spending long hours on the pier at Harriet & Kermet's home at Tichigan Lake, catching pan-fish, catfish, and Northern Pike.

Edna stayed in Milwaukee until 1979, and then moved back to Menominee, MI. She eventually left Menominee again to live in Land O Lakes, FL. Her daughter Harriet and son-in-law Kermet (Ole Busse) moved there and built a new home with a room for her.

She died in Florida on May 5, 2000, having lived 102 years, bridging three centuries (1897-2000). It was her wish to be buried in Menominee, next to her twin. She said, "We can into the world together, we might as well leave that way."
