GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Milton Neely of Berwind-White, Hollidaysburg, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. The former Ada Grove and Samuel were married March 8, 1916, by the Rev. J. B. Brumbaugh, in the Church of the Brethren, Glasgow.
They are the parents of five children, Pete of Ohio, Ethel Ongst of Robisonia, Elmer and Mrs. Mable Heverly of Hollidaysburg and Betty Jane Blyler of Lancaster.
They have 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Neely are members of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and Mr. Neely, is retired from the Berwind-White Shops.

SAMUEL MILTON NEELY

Mr. Neely, 89, of 215 Blair St., Hollidaysburg, formerly of No. 5 Berwind White. Hollidaysburg RD 1, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday. Dec. 20, 1985, in his home, after an extended illness.
Mr. Neely retired as an air brakeman from Berwind Railway Service Co., Hollidaysburg, in October 1961, after 50 years' service.
He was born Sept. 14, 1896, in Duncansville, the son of Joseph and Margaret Neely, and March 8, 1916, in Bellwood, married Ada E. Grove, who died Dec. 1, 1983.
Surviving are four children Ethel Onkst of Robesonia, Elmer T. of Gaysport, Mabel Heverly of Hollidaysburg and Betty Jane Blyler, with whom he resided; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and
three great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Samuel M. Jr., died Feb. 25, 1985.
Mr. Neely was a member of the Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren.
He was a charter member of the Geeseytown Volunteer Fire Company, and a member of the Phoenix Volunteer Fire Company of Hollidaysburg, Allegheny Club of Hollidaysburg, American Legion, Fort Fetter Post of Hollidaysburg, Allied Volunteer Firemen's Association of Blair County and Central District Volunteer Firemen's Association.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg,

Interment in Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
Friends will be received from 7 to p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
