Last Friday For Miss Mary Noonen
Funeral services for Miss Mary Noonen, 80, were held last Friday morning in St. Mary of the Woods church with Rev. A. J. Gordon officiating. Burial was in the St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were James and William Harmon, Pat Noonen, Clement Gill, William Hickey and Joe Carroll.
Born the daughter of Mary McCarty and Michael Noonen March 2, 1869 near Princeville, she moved to Peoria in 1917 and spent the rest of her life in Peoria, the last 14 years at St. Joseph's home there. She passed away at St. Francis hospital July 5 following a long illness.
She is survived by 14 nieces and nephews and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Catherine Long and two bothers, William and Michael Noonen.
