ADA — Services for C.M. "Dick" Wilburn, 79, Ada, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Ada, the Revs. Steve Wilburn and Joe T. Dixon will officiate. Interment will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wilburn died Monday, Jan.1, 2007, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Enid to Cephas and Helen Erie White Wilburn.

He moved to Ada with his family in 1969 from Houston, Texas.

Mr. Wilburn was an oil dispatcher for Texaco in Houston for 16 years. After moving to Ada, he was the director of food services for Valley View Regional Hospital, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Fitzhugh Baptist Church, a member of the Diamond K Kiwanis Club and he served in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II from 1945 until 1947.

He married Geneva Mae Plumlee April 10, 1949, at Fittstown.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Wilburn, of the home; two daughters, Janet M. Wilburn, Ada, and Judy K. Cantrell and husband Bob, Ada; one son, Steve Wilburn and wife Liz, Fitzhugh; a sister, Helen Willa Dean Cassady, Midland, Texas; five grandchildren, Kyle Cantrell and wife Jeniferr, Kevin Cantrell and wife Kelli, Jacob Cantrell and wife Abby, Stephanie Wilburn, and Daniel Wilburn; great grandchildren, Gracie Kate Cantrell, Major Jackson Cantrell, Toren Cantrell, and Tyler Cantrell.

Bearers will be Kyle Cantrell, Kevin Cantrell, Jacob Cantrell, Daniel Wilburn, Bill Clark, Jr., Joe Morrow, Hershel Williams, and Tim Tippit. Honorary bearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class at Fitzhugh Baptist Church.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Fitzhugh Baptist Church Building Fund or the Youth Activity Fund, P. O. Box 177, Fitzhugh, Oklahoma 74843.
