Midland, Texas-Services for Helen Willa Dean Wilburn Cassady, 89, formerly of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Steve Wilburn will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cassady died Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Midland, Texas. She was born May 14, 1925 in Pharoah, Oklahoma to Cephas and Helen White Wilburn. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fitzhugh, Ok.
She married Bernard L. Cassady on February 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1999. She spent the marjority of her married life in west Texas and lived in Ada for ten years until the death of her husband Bernie. Mrs. Cassady spent the remaining years in Midland, Tx.
Survivors include one son, Lorin Cassady and wife Melody of Midland, Tx; one daughter, Eudy Law and husband Jim of Willis, Tx; five grandchildren, Whitney Smalley of Ft. Stockton, Tx, Destiny McPheeters of Tulsa, Ok, Amanda Aubry of League City, Tx, Joshua Law of Willis, Tx, and Brandon Law of Mansfield, Tx; twelve great-children and two great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cephas and Helen White Wilburn; her husband, Bernie Cassady; three brothers, Burrel, Charles and Dick Wilburn and one sister Mary Wyatt.
Bearers will be Joshua Law, Brandon Law, Richard McPheeters, Tyler McPheeters, Bob Cantrell and Jake Cantrell.
