Lucretia D. "Pat" Liddle
Lucretia Darlene "Pat" Liddle, 73, of Idaho Falls, died Jan. 28, 2000, at EIRMC.
She was born July 21, 1926, in Moscow, Iowa, the last of six children to born to Virgil E. and Gertrude B. Eastburn Hain. She attended school in Davenport, Iowa, till 1940 when the family moved to West Los Angeles where she continued her education.
She was married in 1944 to Vernon Kidwell in Los Angeles. They had one son, Dennis Vern, and were later divorced.
On Sept. 21, 1951, she married Wilbur E. "Bill" Liddle in Studio City, Calif. They lived in North Hollywood, Calif., where they had two children, Steven F. Liddle and Kerry D. Liddle. Bill worked for Bendix Aerodynamics till he retired in 1972, Pat was a great homemaker and mother. She was always considerate of her husband and her children' s needs before her own. After Bill retired, they began managing apartments in Tarzana, Calif., and Glendale, Calif., till Bill' s death in May 1984.
On Nov. 1, 1996, she moved to Idaho Falls to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of Skyline Christian Church. She was active on a daily basis with the Senior Citizens Center, where she enjoyed her lunch and fellowship with her friends there. She was also a member of the local chapter of the PEO. Pat shared her faith in the Lord with everyone she came in contact with. She also loved the telephone, where she would spend hours calling and visiting with friends and family all over. Her phone calls were usually accompanied by a short rendition of "I just called to say I Love You." She also loved to sing and dance. Pat never met a stranger, she was a friend to all.
Survivors include her children, Dennis V. (Bennie Sue) Kidwell of Anaheim, Calif., Steven F. (Kim) Liddle of Saugus, Calif., and Kerry D. (David) Bowman of Idaho Falls; grandchildren, Lorene (Jason) Rincon of Costa Mesa, Calif., Sherrie Kidwell and Kenneth Kidwell of Anaheim, Kira Liddle of Saugus, and Marcus and Kate Bowman of Idaho Falls; her first great grandchild, Jake Rincon; and stepdaughter, Marilyn (Parry) Carson of Las Vegas and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and four brothers and her "honey" Bill; and a stepdaughter, Janet Wakeley.
A memorial service will be performed Thursday, Feb. 3, by Pastor Thomas Baird at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls. Visitation of family members will commence at 1 p.m. followed by the memorial service and celebration of Pat' s life at 2 p.m. Her remains will be placed next to her husband at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, Calif.
