Mrs. Ida Ivey Davis, wife of Jesse Davis, was born November 17, 1909. She departed this life February 4, 1931. Death came after a brief illness. Survivors - companion, Jesse Davis; mother, Mrs. Lott Ivey; two sisters, Misses Ola and Willie Mae Ivey; one brother, Gid; some half brothers and sisters. Member of Pine Grove Baptist church. Services in her memory were conducted at the Manassa Methodist church near Crandall. Services conducted by Rev. B. C. Land, pastor of the Baptist church at Quitman, assisted by Rev. E. C. Hendricks, pastor of the Baptist churches at Stonewall and Enterprise. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery by the church.
