C. Watkins Memorial Hospital, Quitman; survivors - son Buddy Ray Ivey, Forsyth, GA; sister, Miss Willie Mae Ivey, Stonewall; one grandchild and one niece.

"Following the death of his father, Lott W. Ivy, Gid worked one crop on the farm. Realizing he could not make a living for his mother and sisters, they moved to Stonewall where Gid and his sisters worked in the cotton mill."
