"Alabama, County Marriages, 1809-1950", database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKZ3-4MNJ : accessed 22 October 2015), William L. Griffin and Harriet A. Sadler, 1866.

"United States Census, 1870," FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MHVT-QTC : 12 April 2016), William Griffin, Alabama, United States; citing p. 14, family 107, NARA microfilm publication M593 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 545,505.

1880 Census shows William & Harriett in Ripville, AL with six children: William 13; Mary 9; Anna 7; Susan 5; and twins Robert L and Rosa 3.

1900 Census shows two Griffin children, Robert 22 and Pearl 14, living in the household of their uncle, Robert C Sadler, Harriett's brother. This would be five years after Harriett died, so William L. Griffin must have died before 1900 also, though his grave has not been found as of this writing.

Gravesite Details

Source: Survey of cemetery c. post-1974, found in library 2012. There are actually two Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemeteries in relatively close proximity. The older called simply "Old Ebenezer". This may be where Harriett and possibly Billy are.
