ELLENBURG – Raymond Joseph Charette, 59, of Valehave Home, Peru, formerly of Ellenburg Corners, died Fraiday June 11, 1993, at CVPH Medical Center Plattsburgh. He was born Sep 29, 1933 in Ellenburg, the son of Francis and Florence (LaClair) Charette. In his earlier years, he was a dairy farmer at the family farm in Ellenburg Center and later had been employed at McCadam Cheese Co. in Chateaugay until his retirement in 1988 due to disability. He was a member of the Augustus Dumont Knights of Columbus Council 4441 of Ellenburg for many years and a communicant of St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. In addition to his mother of Plattsburgh, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Harry (Veronica) LaClair of Utica, Bertha Snay of Chooes, Mrs. Ivan (Elaine) Trombley of Chicopee, Mass. And Mrs. Paul (Lorraine) Tatro of Easthampton, Mass, three brothers, Leo Charette of Norristown, Pa. Morris Charette of Churubusco and Royal Charette of Williamson, N.Y.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His father died April 9, 1976. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a vigil wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. A Funderal service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Edmunds Church, Ellenburg, with the Rev. Gilbert Menard celebrating the Mass of Chrisian burial. Burial will be in St. Edmunds Cemetery, Ellenburg.
