Morris Joseph Charette
Cadyville ? Morris Joseph Charette, 71, of Cadyville, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at the CVPH Medical Center.
He was born in Ellenburg on Aug. 30, 1929, to the late Francis Xavior and Florence (LeClair) Charette.
Mr. Charette attended Ellenburg Central School and was a dairy farmer for several years. He was later employed by Gagnier Brothers Potato Farm for 39 years and was a part-time employee of McCadam Cheese Factory in Chateaugay. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Churubusco and a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Council 04441 in Ellenburg. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Della Louise (Boadway) Charette; four sons, Leonard and Christine (Marlow) Charette of Olympia, Wash., Ronald and Suzanne (LaValley) Charette of Cadyville, Marshall and Carol (Dunn) Charette of Chateaugay and Anthony and Heidi (Schaffer) Charette of Peru; four daughters, Maureen and Anthony McPherson of Chicopee, Mass., Angela and Joseph McPherson of Moira, Joanne and Kevin Goodman of Rutland, Vt., and Roseanne and Louis Clark of Waterford; one daughter-in-law, Anne (Scott) Charette of Churubusco; two brothers, Leo Charette of Norristown, Pa., and Royal and Liz Charette of Pahrump, Nev.; four sisters, Veronica and Harry LaClair of Utica, Bertha Snay of Ellenburg, Elaine and Ivan Trombley of Ellenburg and Lorraine and Paul Tatro of East Hampton, Mass.; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives who died previously include his parents; four brothers, Ernest Charette, Joseph and Francis Charette and Raymond Charette; two sons, Arthur Charette and James Charette; and two grandsons, A.J. McPherson and Ronald Charette II. Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville. Members of the Ellenburg Knights of Columbus will meet Friday evening at 7 p.m. for services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Churubusco. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center, SUNY Plattsburgh, Suite 227, Sibley Hall, 101 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
