Mrs. Luchsinger
NEW GLARUS — Mrs. Martha Luchsinger, 86, died Saturday (Sept. 17, I960) at the New Glarus home of a daughter, Mrs. Terrance Freitag, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zentner funeral home.
Mrs. Luchsinger, the former Martha Pagel, was born in Sylvester township in 1874. She was married to Nicholas Luchsinger in 1904. They farmed in the Monticello area until 1948 when they retired and moved to New Glarus. Her husband died in 1950. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Also surviving are a son, Harold, Redwood City, California; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Grace Elmer, Belleville; two stepsons: Sam of Paoli and Waldo, 645 Anthony lane, Madison; a sister, Marie Pagel, Monroe; 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
