Mary Alfonzo, 73, of Hampden Twp., Mechanicsburg died Friday, February 24, 2012 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a retired Charge Nurse at the Maternity Hospital of Singapore. Her passion in life was her devotion and dedication to her Lord which enabled her to be ready and pass peacefully to be with him this past Friday.
Mary was the widow of Chandra Raj Selvaratnam, and is survived by her son E. Ronald Balachandran and wife Shabi of Mechanicsburg; her daughter Loretta Halligan and husband Shawn of Hamlake, MN; daughter in law Mei; and her three grandchildren, Owen, Olivia and O'Neal.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with Pastor Cabot Lodge officiating. A visitation will be held one half hour prior to services.
