Charles "Ray" Horn, 74, passed from this life on Wednesday Jan. 14, 2009 at his home in Wellborn. A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at Wellborn Cemetery.

He was born on November 29, 1934 in Coolidge, Texas. He grew up and attended school in Bryan. Ray served in the Airforce Reserves. He was a certified machinist and retired from Texas A&M. Ray also served for more than 25 years as a Reserve Officer of the Bryan Police Department and as a Deputy Constable of Brazos County. He also was a member of the Sons of Hermann, Elks Lodge and the Wellborn Volunteer Fire Department.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Edwin Worsham.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mary Creed Horn of Wellborn; sons, Jerold Ray Horn of Cleveland Tenn., Colton Ryan Horn of Wellborn and Randell Snodgrass Horn of Georgia; daughters, Carolyn Prater of Kentucky, Joyce Ann McKee of Weatherford, Regina Horn Tinney of Wellborn, Sharon Snodgrass Horn David of Arkansas, Dana Roy Mullin of Wellborn and Tammy Lynette Horn Seay of Bryan; brother, Billy Don Horn of Garland, Texas; sister, Joyce Ferguson of Dallas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Texas Home Hospice.
