KNOX CITY -- Algerene "Mutt" Logsdon, 79, passed away Sunday night at a Knox City hospital. Funeral service are 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church with Steve Pepper and Darrel Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
She was born on March 15, 1925 to the late Clarence and Katie Strickland. She was a LVN nurse at the Brazos Valley Care Home for many years. She was a member of the Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Smokey" logsdon, in 1987. Also by two sons, Mike and Ivan; granddaughter, Terri L. Logsdon; three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Doug Logsdon of Muleshoe, Anthony Logsdon of Knox City; nine grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.
