Born April 15, 1933, she was a native of Buncombe County, and the daughter of the late H.D. and Lavada Conner. She was also preceded in death by her daughters Kimberly Kay and Penny Elizabeth Black.
Surviving are her husband, Ken Black of Fort Myers Beach, Florida; two sons, Johnny McCulloch and wife, Melissa, of Arden, and Jackie McCulloch of Woodfin; two brothers, Joe Conner and wife, Marianna, of Candler and Scott Conner and wife, Sharon, of Fairview; and two grandchildren, Morgan and Gavin McCulloch of Weaverville.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church in Candler. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
