Marie (Schwenk) Persohn age 85 of Jasper passed away at 7:20 A.M. Friday May 19, 2006 at the Providence Home Nursing Center in Jasper. She was born October 3, 1920 to Andrew Burger Sr. and Catherine Gramelspacher.
She married Rufus Schwenk August 30, 1941. He passed away August 10, 1974. She then married Ray Persohn Sr. December 8, 1989. He passed away April 12, 1998. Memberships include: St. Mary Catholic church, the D of I Sodality, and St. Anns Society.
Surviving: 4 sons-John and Sam Schwenk both of Jasper, Don Schwenk of Ireland, and Richard Schwenk of Otwell
1 daughter-Mrs. Tom (Sue) Schum of Ireland.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday at the Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. There will be a Rosary at 3:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home by St. Mary Parish, St. Anns Society, and D of I sodality.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday May 23, 2006 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Providence Home, or St. Mary Catholic Church.
