Mrs. Adeline Woodford Pumpelly, a former resident of Owego, died at her home at Candor on Saturday, Sept. 28, aged 78 years. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at St. Mark's Episcopal church, Candor, of which she was a member, Rev. Sidney Winter, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Owego, officiating. The body was placed in the Pumpelly family vault in Evergreen Cemetery, Owego. She was a daughter of John L. Woodford and was born at Candor on Feb. 11, 1851. She leaves three sons, Dr. William Pumpelly, of Macon, Ga.; Frederick Pumpelly, of Jacksonville, Fla., and George Pumpelly, of Candor.

NOTE: Father's name in clipping appears to be in error; however, death certificate in Candor also shows the first name John, surname "insuficient". (sic)
