Anstress R. Pennock, 93, of Troy, formerly of Pulaski, died Monday at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center, Troy.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Park United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry officiating. Spring burial will be in Richland Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Park United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Robert, Rensselaer Falls, and Dr. Donald, Grand Prarie, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Helen Wing and Rena Cobb, both of Richland.

Born in Fairfield, Va., on May 21, 1901, a daughter of Charles and Jessie Tolley Riley , she was a 1919 graduate of Pulaski High School and later graduated from Central City Business Institute, Syracuse.

She married Harold Pennock on Sept. 17, 1925, in Virginia. The Rev. Mr. Pennock was an employee of the Syracuse Post Office for several years until becoming ordained as a Methodist minister. The Rev. Mr. Pennock served as pastor of the Methodist Church at Mount Pleasant and at Alexandria Bay Methodist Church from 1962 until his retirement in 1968. He died Sept. 23, 1972, in Texas.

Mrs. Pennock was employed with Syracuse Abstract Co. for several years.

The Rev. and Mrs. Pennock lived in Syracuse, Mount Pleasant, Alexandria Bay and Pulaski and maintained a winter home in Texas. Mrs. Pennock moved to Troy in 1989.

She was a member of Park United Methodist Church.
