Son of John and Hannah (Ferrier) Tremaine. Married Eliza Ann Reasoner, Mar. 21, 1863, in Williams Co., OH. She died in 1875. Married Elizabeth Ann Hall, Jan. 25, 1877, in Amboy, Hillsdale Co. MI. Children by Eliza Reasoner: Joseph Doro, John William, James Franklin, Charles Edward, and Lucinda E. Tremaine. Children by Elizabeth Hall: George Andrew and Eliza A. Tremaine. Andrew served in the Civil War in the 68th Ohio Vol. Inf., Co. G, and in the 142nd OH vol. inf., Co. D. He died in the veteran's facility in Grand Rapids, MI. He had cancer of the face from smoking a pipe for many years.
