The funeral of Mrs. William Pettis occurred at the United Brethern church Saturday afternoon, Rev. E.C. Mason officiating and the remains were laid to rest in Lakew View cemetery. The deceased passed away Thursday after an illness of two weeks of pneumonia. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Tremain and was born in Williams county, Ohio, April 5, 1880. When ten years of age her parents came to Hillsdale which has since been her home excepting one year she resided at Ypsilanti. Four years ago she was united in marriage to William Pettis who with her parents survive her.
