GLENBEULAH LOSES A GOOD CITIZEN IN DEATH OF FRED TITEL
Glenbeulah – Fred Titel, a highly respected citizen of this village, one of the most widely known retired farmers of the town of Greenbush, died Sunday afternoon of a complication of diseases with which he had long been a sufferer.
Mr. Titel had lived for 25 years in the village, after his retirement from active farmer. He was a kindly man, one who practiced unostentatious charity. He knew everyone in the village and now that he is gone everyone envies his virtues.
Born in Germany in 1850, Mr. Titel was brought to the United States by his parents when he was three years of age. The family settled in the town of Greenbush and in time Mr. Titel came to operate the farm that his father had begun, retiring to Glenbeulah ?? years ago.
He was married March 24, 1874 to Miss Louisa Griesbach, who survives with these sons and daughters; Emil of Plymouth, Dr. Edward F. of Greenbush; Mrs. John Knowles of Greenbush; Dr. A. W. of North Fond du Lac; Miss Anna at home, Dr. Fred of Oconto Falls. Two brothers and one sister, Henry of Greenbush, Ernest of Clear Lake and Mrs. Frank Titel of Glenbeulah also survive.
The funeral is to take place Wednesday from the home with services by the Rev. ??? of Russell. The burial will be in Greenbush cemetery.
