Rose Smith of 716 Lincoln St., Monongahela, died today at 3:55 a.m. in Mercy Hospital following an illness of nine months. She was 70. Born July 8, 1913 in Derry, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Catherine Kozemchak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brice W. Smith Sr. in 1981, a sister Mary Warchola and two brothers, Tony and Paul Kozemchak. Mrs. Smith lived in Monongahela for most of her life and was a Protesant. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mario (Mildress) Ferdinando and Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Rudean, both of Monongahela; two sons, Brice W. Smith Jr. of Stockdale and Donald at home; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ann Dobosh of Elrama and two brothers, Michael Kozemchak of Elrama and John Kozemchak of Monongahela. Friends are being received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the L.M. Frye Funeral Home, 427 W. Main St., Monongahela.
