Born in Anderson, a son of Omie Beasley Devall of Simsponville and the late Clyde Devall, he was an employee of the Woodside Mills, Simpsonville plant, and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Mae Lollis Devall: two sons, Tony M Devall of Robbins NC and Gary R. Devall of Simpsonville; three daughters Mrs Connie Hall, Mrs Sandy Barker and Mrs Darlene Sales of Simpsonville: two sisters Mrs. Kate Young of Simpsonville, Mrs Boots Carroll of Greenville; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 4pm at Temple Baptist Church, with burial in Cannon Memorial Park. The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Donald Sales, Simpsonville.
