Mary Sue Ashworth Phillips (Sue) died May 18, 2010 in Hays County Texas after a short illness. Mrs. Phillips was a long- time resident of Canton, Texas and moved to Wimberley, Texas in 2003. Sue was born in Kaufman County Texas in the Ashworth Community on January 16, 1928 to James Alfred and Lola Ashworth. She was a graduate of Kaufman High School and attended the Ola Church of Christ.

She married F. A. Phillips Jr. (June) in 1946 and moved to Canton in 1961 where she raised her four children.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001, her daughter Terry Suzanne Phillips in 2002, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.
