Kenneth Fredrick Ketchum, 84, of Caldwell, died Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Caldwell hospital of natural causes. Mr. Ketchum was born Oct. 20, 1902, at Onawa, Iowa, to Charles F. and Allie M. Ketchum. He came with his family to Council as a young boy and later returned to Iowa where he was reared and educated in Whiting, Iowa. He worked in road construction in Oklahoma and later ranched and owned a garage in Oklahoma. He married Rita King Oct. 19, 1953, at Okmulgee, Okla. He came to Caldwell and worked for the J.R. Simplot Company until his retirement in 1967. He had worked at various farm related jobs in the Caldwell area since that time.

He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; a daughter, Cathi (Mrs. Steve) Benoit of Caldwell, a son, Cecil F. Ketchum of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Anna Myers of Whiting and Lenna Brewer of Boise; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
