Gladys Boushka, age 96, formerly of Township of Glenmore, passed away February 12, 2023. She was born on August 21, 1926 to the late Rudolph and Frances (Budweiser) Pelishek. Gladys went to Stark Elementary School. In October of 1946 she married the love of her life James Boushka. They were married 42 years before his passing in 1988. She spent most of her lifetime farming in the Township of Glenmore, but she also worked at Larsen Canning and Mary Morgan. In her free time Gladys enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, working in her garden, camping and fishing at Pine Lake. She was a longtime member of the Zion Methodist Church, Lark. Survivors include her children Bernard (Nancy) Boushka, Phyllis Eckert, Robert (Sally) Boushka, Christine (Greg) Turino, Kenneth Boushka; grandchildren Jeannette Wallace, JoAnn Eckert, Edward Boushka, Rebecca Rozz, Tamela Tischer, James Boushka, Jeremy Boushka; step-grandchildren Billy Collman, Jamie Collman; great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lois Pelishek; several nieces and nephews; special friend Becky Smith; other relatives and friends. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; step-father Carl Lindeman; husband, James; infant daughter Dorothy; her in-laws Edward (Anna) Boushka; son-in-law Harold Eckert; brothers Raymond Pelishek and Clarence (Lillian) Pelishek; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gilbert (Lilly) Nohr; special friends: Donald Smith and Robert Smith; also her beloved pets Betsy and Pepper. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home- Denmark (536 County Road R) on Wednesday February 15, 2022, from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm with Pastor Kyle Wangelin officiating. Burial in Emanuel's Cemetery, Lark.
