Dorothy M. Kistler, 92, Kokomo, died at 7:44 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Howard Regional Health System. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Disco, the daughter of Donald and Tot (Sales) Appleman. On Nov. 18, 1937, in Albion, she married H. Doyne Kistler, who preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a graduate of Leiters Ford High School. She had been employed at Carl Ann Clothing for 13 years, retiring in February 1988. She was a member of Leiters Ford Methodist Church and enjoyed decorating.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Ronald D. Kistler, Kokomo, Larry D. Kistler, Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Terri Kistler and Toni Kistler, both of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers.

In Kokomo, friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Shirley and Stout Funeral Home and Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road. In Royal Center, graveside services are at noon Tuesday in Kistler Cemetery, with the Rev. Stacee Fischer-Gehring officiating.
