Born Sept. 9, 1935, in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Vernon and Gertrude (Wilburn) Beachy.
He was a retired carpenter foreman and a maintenance man for Keyser's Ridge Truck Stop.
He is survived by his wife, Rhua Jean (Coddington) Beachy; one son, Michael Beachy, Laurel; four brothers, William Beachy, Baltimore, Marvin Beachy, Frederick, and Harold and Richard Beachy, both of Grantsville; and two sisters, Mary Geouge, Frederick, and Kathy McGregor, Glen Burnie.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where a service was held on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
