Ferdinand Albert Broeker, 60, carpenter at J. I. Case company, Burlington, died at 6 a.m. Thursday (February 19, 1953) at the home of a son, Dale Broeker, Oakville.

Native of Des Moines county, he was born August 8, 1892, son of Frederick and Wilhemina Bloome Broeker at Prairie Grove. On October 28, 1914, he was married in Burlington to Florence Jane Mumme, who survives. The couple lived for many years in New London, moving to Oakville last year.

He was a member of Moose lodge, the Gymnastic association, and Trinity Lutheran church, all of Burlington.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Bozarth, New London, and Mrs. Frances Schwartz, Winfield; one son, Dale Broeker, Oakville; nine grandchildren; and five sisters: Mrs. Emma Hillen, Monmouth, Illinois, Mrs. Elsie Rhodes, DeBary, Florida, Miss Louise Broeker, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Mrs. Hannah Redfern, and Mrs. Anna Brenneke, both of Burlington.

Five brothers, one sister and one daughter are dead.

Last rites will be held at the Elliot chapel in New London at 1 p.m. Sunday. Reverend G. A. Sat, Burlington will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity cemetery, 6 miles north of New London.
