Pixie was a Maine Coon, grey stripe long haired cat. She jumped out of a car window at the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Staten Island, NY. After no one claimed her, she was brought home to join our family. Much to our surprise, 2 months later, Pixie had 6 beautiful kittens. All went to good homes. We had 5 cats at the time, and could not keep any, but, almost kept the all grey male. We named him Monk. Pixie was affectionate, and an indoor cat like the others. When our family moved west in 1981, Pixie had to be given to the home of a friend. It was heartbreaking to leave her behind, after 12 years. We allowed only 2 pets to go on our long journey. Still miss your beautiful eyes Pixie, and the naps you took on our laps. You were a sweetheart!
