MATTOON - Richard Durre, 59, of Mattoon , passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:39 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital. Funeral services honoring his life will begin at 11:00 a.m. today Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mattoon with Reverend Martin Haeger officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday February 14, 2012 at the church. Richard was born on June 26, 1952 in Mattoon the son of Gale and Florence (Rentfro) Durre. Survivors include his brother, John D. Durre and wife Vicki of Bakersfield, California; niece, Jennifer Spear and husband Brian of Stone Mountain, Georgia; nephew, Christopher Durre and wife Shannon of Sugar Hill, Georgia; niece, Elizabeth Williams and husband Jason of Newnan, Georgia; great nieces and nephews, Noah; Regan; Ellie; Katie and Caleb Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dannie Durre. Richard was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the St. John's Lutheran Church.
