ANNA BERNOTAS
Anna H. (Jurin) Bernotas, of Carolina Shores, NC, and formerly of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, Bolivia, NC. She was 98.
She was the wife of the late Edward J. Bernotas who died May 28, 1996.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Anna (Stresec) Jurin.
A homemaker, Mrs. Bernotas was the oldest living member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA, until her death.
She is survived by her son, David Bernotas and his wife Jennifer (McDermin), of Carolina Shores, who provided her with loving care since 2001; three grandchildren, Michael Bernotas, Devon Bernotas and Audra Swartz and her husband Michael; a grandson-in-law, John Pope; eight great grandchildren, Joshua B., Franki B., Gemma B., Remi S., Andon S., Joshua P., Jacob P. and Madison P.; a sister, Rosemarie Jurin McCoach, of Hilltown Twp.; and her extended William Young Family.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Frederick W. Bernotas and his wife Marvian (Snyder) Bernotas Young, Edward J. Bernotas and Gregory A. Bernotas; a granddaughter, Angela Bernotas Pope; four brothers, Charles G. Jurin, Sr., Fred Jurin, Edward Jurin and Ivan Jurin; and a sister, Josephine Jurin Bachurski.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 98 Broad Street, Perkasie (Hilltown), PA, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Hilltown.
