Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Petersen, widow of Oscar Petersen, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from Christ Lutheran Church.

Pastor James Plitzuweit will officiate with burial in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Livingston Sondermann Funeral Home.

Mrs. Petersen died Saturday afternoon at a local hospital. She had been in ill health for several months.

Mrs. Petersen had spent her lifetime in central Nebraska. She was born Dec. 2, 1894 on a farm near Brayton to Jens and Johannah Petersen. She attended school and grew to womanhood in that community.

She married Oscar Petersen on April 14, 1917 at St. Paul. They began their home on a farm near Wolbach and resided there until 1937, when they moved to Grand Island. Mrs. Petersen had been employed at the Yancey Hotel prior to her retirement. Mr. Petersen died March 25, 1970.

Mrs. Petersen was a member of the congregation at Christ Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son Raymond J. of Grand Island and a daughter Mrs. Harry (Viola) Larson of St. Paul; a brother, Sam Petersen of Brayton; a sister, Mrs. Mary Morrison of Grand Island; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
