H. Robert Portzline, 73, of Brookline Manor, RR 1, Mifflintown, and formerly of Saylorsburg, died at 9"05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.
Born on July 5, 1933, in Derry Township, Mifflin Co, he was a son of Mary I. (Snyder) Portzline, of Mifflintown, and the late Robert J. Portzline.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, M. Sue Kauffman and husband Harold, HC 63, Mifflintown, Tom Filler and wife Mary, Yeagertown; one neice, Kathy Leiter; two nephews, Kurt Kauffman, Jeffrey Kauffman; one great-neice, Holly Kauffman and one great-nephew, Josh Kauffman.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Portzline and Charles Filler.
He was a 1951 graduate of Juniata Joint High School.
He enjoyed flowers and spending time with his best friend his dog, Zack.
He retired from the Monroe County Courthouse, Saylorsburg.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Goodwill Cemetery, McAisterville with the Rev. Ted Janke officiating.
There will be no viewing.
