Mr. Clate Edward "Eddie" Pardue, age 61, of Gunters Hill Road, Boomer died February 9, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will be held Sunday, February 12, at 2:00 at Scenic Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bobby Pritchard officiating. The family will receive at the residence following the service.

Mr. Pardue was born in Wilkes County on November 9, 1950, to Charlie and Esther Marlow Pardue. He was employed at Tyson Foods, Inc. Mr. Pardue served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142.

Mr. Pardue is survived by his wife, Vanessa Fitzwater Pardue of the home; one son, Clate Delane Pardue and wife, Stephanie of Boomer; granddaughter, Serenity Avis of the home; two step daughters, Jackie McDorman and Shalyn Smith both of West Virginia; two step sons, Brian Scott Holland of Boomer and Seth Avis of West Virginia; four sisters, Joyce Pardue of North Wilkesboro, Lucille Pierce of Millers Creek, Brenda Swaim of Boomer, Linda Anderson of Moravian Falls; one brother, Charles Pardue of Boomer; six grandchildren, Tyler Delane Pardue, Trinitie Alexus Pardue, Christopher McDorman, Logan McDorman, Cole Smith and Zach Smith.
