Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Carl. Died
Sunday at her home in Cumberland from general debility, aged 81 years.
Mrs Carl was the widow of the late Albert Carl for some years postmaster of Hancock. Mrs. Carl was one of a few persons yet living who heard Abraham LincoIn deliver his famous address at Gettysburg and shook hands with the President following his speech. Mrs. Carl is survived by the following children: Prof.C. Edwin. Hagerstown: Frank Lee, editor of the ' Cumberland Times: Urner G., a lawyer of Cumberland: Daniel M., a traffic engineer of a large coal conser in Bethlehem, Pa., and B Harrison, with the Western Maryland Rail Road, Cumberland, Md. And Miss Edith a graduate nurse, who has been constantly with her mother the last 10 years.
