JOHN T. STALCUP
John T. Stalcup, past 80 years of age, died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. S. K. Stalcup, about 6 miles south of town, late Tuesday night, after an illness of several weeks. Death was due to neuritis.
Mr. Stalcup was born December 15, 1840, and was a native of Monroe county, being born on the farm where he died, and had made his home with Mrs. Stalcup for many years. He was unmarried.
Funeral services were held at Spencer Chapel, of which church he was a member, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. W. Darter. Burial in the Chapel cemetery.
