She was born at Wakarusa, April 2, 1877, a daughter of James B and Fannie Neely. The family moved to South Bend from Goshen nine years ago.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, a service at 11 o'clock at the First Brethren church, South Michigan street, South Bend, followed by a further service at 2:30 pm at the Culp Funeral home at Goshen. The body lay in state at the latter place from 1 o'clock until the funeral hour. Burial in Oak Ridge cemetery, Goshen.
Mrs Witmer is survived by her husband, A A Witmer; a son, Daniel K Witmer, three grandchildren, Margaret Evelyn, Daniel K, Jr, and John Leeland Witmer, all of 643 Milwaukee avenue Elkhart; three sisters, Mrs J F Bigley, Los Angeles; Mrs Nettie Freeman, Portland, Ore, and Mrs R C Connin of Ligonier, and three brothers, Henry Neely of Elkhart, Harve Neely of Chicago, and A B Neely of Sioux Falls, SD.
