Mrs. Baker, 83

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Baker, 83, of Pell City, Ala., will be Sunday at Cave Springs Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Stone will officiate and burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Mrs. Baker died Friday morning at her home.
Survivors:
Daughter: Mattie Florence Cowan
Son: David Shelby Baker
Brother: Lee Allen Chandler
Sister: Laura Anne Glover.
She was also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, Absalom "Dike" Baker, in 1936 and her daughter, Gertrude Flossy Baker Smith, in 1940. Her father, Nathaniel Green Chandler died in 1918 and her mother, Alice Emma Isora Taylor died in 1940.
Her paternal grandparents were William Robert Chandler and Eliza C. Moon. Her maternal grandparents were John C. Taylor and Elizabeth Garner.
