Obituary - Mrs. Tille Ostenson passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Parel in Dresser, Wisconsin on Sept. 10, 1963 at the age of 77 years,10 months and 7 days.
She was born in Telmark, Norway on November 3, 1885 the daughter of Margit and Gunder Felland. She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith there and came to the United States at the age of six with her parents, where she was confirmed and atteded school.
She was united in marriage with Jack Ostenson in Nov. 1905. This union was blessed with the birth of 6 children, two of which died in infancy. She has lived in the Clayton/Clear Lake community her entire lifetime with the exception of the past 6 years when she made her home with her daughter in Dresser. Mrs. Ostenson was a lifetime member of the Moe Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Moe Ladies Aid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and 2 sons, baby Gunder and Morten, four brothers and two sisters. Left to mourn her passing are three sons, Elmer and Selmer of Clayton and Daughter Opal, Mrs. Elmer Parel, of Dresser, Wisconsin, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sigrid Haglund of Clayton and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service were held on Friday,September 13, 1963 at 2:00 PM at Moe Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore Berkland officiating. The Rev. Berkland sang 'Den Stor Vide Flok' and 'The Old Rugged Cross' accompanied by Mrs. Allen Johnson.
Casketbearers were: Maynard Felland, Glen Felland, Bennie Felland, Gordon Haugland, Glen Ostenson and Ernest Ostenson. Interment was in Moe Lutheran Church cemetery with Hammer Funeral Home of Clear Lake in charge of arrangement.
