Yost Jr. was a farmer and a preacher at the Glades Amish Mennonite Congregation. He married Elizabeth Stutzman about 1814 and she bore him 4 children. He was probably buried in the Old Yoder Cemetery on his grandfather, "Schweitzer" Christian Yoder's homestead, but there are no legible markers.
