Evalee Phillips, 64, (64 years, 6 months, 16 days) of 751 Boone Hollow Road, Williams, went home to be with our Lord at 9:08 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, at her residence.
Born Tuesday, August 15, 1939 in Pueblo, Kentucky, she is the daughter of Lee Wesley and Ottie Mae (Thompson) Phillips. She married Junior Phillips on Sunday, March 27, 1960 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1998. She was a homemaker and a former employee at RCA in Bloomington for 10 years. She was a member of Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include six sons; Charles E. Cain and his wife Leora, Terry L. Cain, Eugene W. Cain and his wife Sheila, Jay A. Phillips and his wife Kimberly, Lloyd Phillips and his wife Stephanie, all of Williams, Bryan Phillips and his wife Leila Phillips of Spencer; two daughters; Ettamae Elliott and her husband Kevin of Williams, and Tammy Holland and her husband Kelly of Owensburg; 23 grandchildren, Douglas Huffman, Tieann Cain, Travis Cain, Ashley Cain, Kylie Flinn, Ricky Cain, Jenny Morgan, Josh Whitman, Billy Elliott, Bobby Martin, Jason Phillips, Evalee Phillips, Eric Phillips, Michael Adams, Tiffany Adams, Jerry Phillips, Catherine Phillips, Jennifher Strange, Benton Holland, Kyley Reynolds, Nathan Hughes, Morgan Hughes and Haley Holland; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers, the Rev. Wendell Phillips, Boyd Phillips, William Phillips all of Springville,
and Danny Phillips of Shoals; three sisters, Loretta Keseric, of Ellettsville, Joyce Godsey of Bedford and Zella Keithley of Springville; a special uncle, Arter Thompson and an aunt Alice Powell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; Hobert, Hubert Goldie and Rufus Phillips; three sisters; Pauline Phillips, Claire Phillips and Mossie Martin, and one daughter, Catherine G. Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Alan Phillips and Rev. Wendell Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, and from noon until time of service on Friday at the mortuary.
